Katie Weeks
Katie Weeks’ H.R. consulting practice arose out of more than a decade of experience as a labor and employment attorney working with H.R. Departments of Fortune 500 Companies in both an advisory capacity and on the defense side of litigation. She combines her collaborative and empathetic approach with deep knowledge of employment law, talent management and sound H.R. policies. Katie’s background ensures that Remedie provides an unparalleled personalized experience that other outsourced human resources platforms do not.
Katie understands that keeping on top of the maze of employment laws and legislation can be overwhelming for any business manager. With this in mind, she strives to provide strategic and preventative solutions for your people management needs – whether that involves implementation of employee handbooks and written policies, effective training and counseling programs, or a crystal clear understanding of compliance with state and federal labor laws.
Knowing that building a healthy company culture is crucial to streamlined operations, Katie leads leadership training programs focused on learning and development. She personally assists employers in implementing organizational performance, coaching and development initiatives. If necessary, she provides crisis management support, including workplace investigations, progressive discipline and remedial training.
Katie received her Bachelor’s degree from University of Colorado at Boulder. She began her career as an employment attorney in 2008 upon graduating from University of California Hastings College of the Law. After practicing labor & employment law in California for 10 years, she joined Remedie as a consultant in 2019.
